Track 7 Quick and easy Yummy

Sorry I have not posted a recipe for a long time. I've been caught up in life.

Today's recipe is a delicious vegetarian recipe that is quick, cheap and easy as well as tasty!

Musical selection
Lady Gaga's album Born this Way

Ingredients.

1/2 cup frozen lima beans
1 box Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice (original)
1/2 cup Monterrey Jack cheese.

Start
Get your groove on with Lady Gaga, my favorite tracks on the CD are Hair and Judas. Shake it while you prepare the Uncle Ben's rice according to the box directions.
Have a jam out session while the rice cooks. When approximately half the water has cooked out of the rice add the lima beans.
Continue breaking it down, do a few spins. When the rice and beans have finished cooking add your cheese. Give it time to melt while you feel the energy of the Ga. Stir and enjoy.
It's easy, fast and DELICIOUS!

Track 6 - Awesome Fried Rice

Musical Selections

La Roux (I'm really into this cd right now)

Ingredients

1 cup long grain white rice

1 large breast o' chicken

1 bag of "Asian medley" vegetables (I like the one with broccoli, baby corn, carrots and pea pods)

2 eggs

seasonings needed

curry powder

white pepper

red pepper

garlic

soy sauce

Chinese 5 spice season

Directions

In a pot of boiling water add 2 tsp. curry powder and 1 tsp. Chinese 5 spice. Add the rice and let cook. Enjoy the synth pop sound as you dice the chicken and cook the veggies until they are almost cooked (i usually get the frozen steam in bag kind) Feel free to sing along to the music. Season the meat with curry, white pepper, garlic and only a sprinkling of red pepper. Add to frying pan or wok and start to cook when the chicken is done add the veggies and soy sauce. Drain rice but do not rinse, add the eggs to the frying pan/wok and let it cook for about 30 seconds before you add the rice and then stir fry. Shake it while you stir fry the mix, when the egg is cooked the rice is done. Add some soy sauce to taste and enjoy!

track 5 Enchiladas

The name of this recipe is Colon Blow Enchiladas. There is a story behind the name, I am lactose intolerant so the amount of cheese in these cause me some intestinal distress. So, if you're not lactose intolerant, you should be fine.

Colon Blow Enchiladas
*they're vegitarian!*

ingredients
corn tortillas, either home made or store bought is fine
1 can black beans
1/2 can corn
1 package Spanish rice
2 jars enchilada sauce
2 cups shredded Mexican cheese.

Start the tunes, and preheat the oven to 350. In a glass baking dish pour a small amount of enchilada sauce just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. In a separate bowl mix the Spanish rice, half the cheese, the rest of the open jar of enchilada sauce, the corn and beans. Stir. Feel the sweet rhythm of the Reggaeton beat while you take the corn tortillas and a spoon in hand. Smack your bootie with the spoon. Take a heaping spoonfull of the mixture and place it in the tortilla, roll it up and set it in the pan. Do the same with the rest of the mixture, (if you've filled the pan, the leftover mixture makes a great chip dip.) Pour enough enchilada sause on the top of them where you can still kind of see through. Add the rest of the cheese to the top and spread it evenly. Bake until the top of the cheese starts to brown slightly.

track 3 Chicken Stuff

Musical Tracks
~Emilie Autumn album Laced/Unlaced (the unlaced one is the best for this)

Ingredients
2 breasts o' chicken
egg noodles (enough to feed everyone you're serving)
1 can cream of chicken soup (either the healthy request or full is fine)
1 tsp lowry's seasoned salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tsp dill
2 tsp butter
2/3 cup shredded monteray jack cheese.

Feel the fury of the violin as you listen and dice the chicken. In a separate pot boil the egg noodles until they are cooked, drain and set aside. Cook the chicken in a frying pan on medium high heat. While the chicken is cooking in a bowl or measuring cup mix the cream of chicken soup with 1 can of water and the seasonings. Blend until well mixed. Feel your inner gothy angst as the chicken finishes cooking track number 2 on the 2nd disc is good for this, the song Manic Depression. When the chicken is cooked all the way through add the butter and the cream of chicken soup let some of the water cook down until it is a nice sauce. Add the cheese and mix in while it melts. Serve over the egg noodles.

track 2 Split Pea Soup

Musical tracks
~ Adam Lambert

Split Pea Soup

3 cups water
3 teaspoons chicken consume (I prefer Osem kosher chicken consume)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or seasoned salt if you prefer)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon basil
1 cup dried split peas

Put the water in the soup pot and bring to a boil, add the chicken consume and seasonings, taste once the seasonings are well mixed and if you think it needs more of something add it. Once the water is boiling add the peas, dance around while you're waiting for it to boil again. Cover and turn heat to low. Rock out while you wait for it to cook, cooking time will vary depending on if you like your peas to have a bit of a crunch or not. Once peas are soft and to the texture that you like, serve. Don't eat until it's cooled a bit or you burn your mouth, I blistered mine yesterday... Serve with crackers or toast. Enjoy!!!

track 1 Introduction

Hello, AlauraBorealis here.
As most people who know me know, I love to cook and I love music. If you don't already know me, now you know that. I love especially to listen to music while I cook and dancing while you cook is one of the greater joys in life. I also am a very inventive cook and have created some dishes that my whole family loves and enjoys so I thought I would share these recipes with the world and let everyone know what album suits cooking this dish best for your best dancing while cooking needs.

Just a warning I have a very eclectic music taste. Also I rarely measure amounts when I am cooking so if something seems off in the amount, use your brain. :D

To start you off, I'll give you a simple dish that I created a few years ago.
